Data Migration

Data migration between systems is the most important process of all library management system changes. At LibAITech we understand the importance of data for you, and we put at your disposal our extensive experience migrating systems from SLIM, Libsys, e -Granthalaya, SOUL, Excel, dSpace,  Virtua etc.

The first step in the migration process is the preparation of a mapping of fields between systems, which allows for a deep understanding of the data to be migrated and the possible difficulties and content improvements.

Second, we analyze your data for quantity and quality, identify any potential anomalies in the data, and prepare a strategy for the migration process to move the data.

The design of the migration process is unique for each library. No two data migrations are the same! .

During the migration process, each of our new clients has a fully functional test system where the migration process is refined, modified and adjusted until the data meets the needs of their library.

The migration server is also used for hands-on training and any testing the library may wish to perform during the migration process.
